A Chinese aquaculture company is making a multimillion-dollar investment in the building of a new biotech complex in Russia’s Primorye region, Russian state media is reporting.
Wen Lian Aquaculture Co., which has been operating in Russia since 2011, is now investing RUB 15 billion (USD 278.8 million, EUR 245.6 million) in a complex in the region, state-owned Sputniknews reported.
The publication reported Wen Lian is interested in growing sea cucumber and scallop spawn at the new plant. The company is known for producing seed for scallops, sea cucumber and geoducks.
