Norwegian aquaculture technology provider Akva Group is exploring a possible acquisition of Danish aquaculture tech company Aquatec Solutions.
Akva announced this week it had “entered into a letter of intent” to purchase the Danish company, and indicated both companies were negotiating a possible buyout.
“The parties aim to complete customary due diligence investigations and negotiations of a final purchase agreement by mid-September 2015, and if final terms are confirmed to complete the transaction by the end of September,” Akva said in its statement.
Details, including a purchase price, were not disclosed, but Akva said any future purchase “is assumed to be settled in cash.”
