GAA signs MOU with Indonesia

The Global Aquaculture Alliance has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Indonesian Aquaculture Society.

The agreement came on 2 November at the GOAL 2012 conference at the Shangri-La Hotel in Bangkok.

The announcement was made by Wally Stevens, GAA executive director and Dr. Rokhmin Dahuri, chairman of the Indonesian Aquaculture Society and a professor and senior scientist at the Center for Coastal and Marine Resources Studies at Bogor Agriculture University in West Java, Indonesia.

“We’re pleased to announce the intent to form a relationship with the Indonesian Aquaculture Society,” said Wally Stevens, GAA executive director. “We look forward to expanding the outreach that we do throughout Indonesia in education and training. We’re looking at a mutual collaboration between the two organizations to advance responsible aquaculture.”
