Harvest Select Realigns Personnel

Harvest Select Catfish, of Uniontown, Ala., on Tuesday announced realignments and new roles for management personnel.

Lee Ballard was assigned to work with the parent holding company, where he'll be responsible for the oversight of certain properties within the organization.

Bret Dunaway was promoted to VP of sales. He has been with the company for 18 months and has extensive experience in the foodservice industry.

Larry Hart was reassigned to director of logistics. In his new role, Hart will work with the company's transportation department in its ongoing efforts to improve delivery methods.

With 16 years of experience in the seafood industry, Ray Renfroe was hired as national account/Southern regional manager.

"Harvest Select Catfish is intent on being a change leader," says Randy Rhodes, president. "The fact that we are one of the industry's only vertically integrated companies, meaning we've got the hatchery, farm, feed, processing and transportation, allows us to have more control over all of our costs. The moves that we are making now demonstrate our confidence in the industry and our confidence in our own ability to assume a leadership role in the catfish industry."

Harvest Select Catfish has farms in Mississippi, Alabama and Arkansas and processing facilities in Uniontown, Ala., and Eudora, Ark.
