IFFO, the Marine Ingredients Organization, has announced its technical director, Andrew Jackson, will be retiring at the end of 2015.
Jackson, who has worked in the seafood industry for over 40 years, the past nine with IFFO, will remain on part-time with IFFO as chairman of its responsible supply certification program standard.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with IFFO and have seen many changes both within the organization and within the industry as a whole,” Jackson said. “(IFFO) has managed to gain a much stronger voice in the world of fisheries and aquaculture through its work with a range of governments and international bodies and the launching of its responsible supply standard.”
IFFO noted that most recently, Jackson received the Seafood Champion award at the SeaWeb Seafood Summit in New Orleans in February 2015.
