A report released by the Chilean fisheries directorate, Sernapesca, on 9 October, confirms two new outbreaks of infectious salmon anemia at farms in the region.
The two plants belong to Marine Harvest and Fjord Seafood.
In addition, the report lists nine new locations under suspicion of ISA, including three more Marine Harvest plants and two more Fjord-owned plants.
The update also shows 46 plants still categorized with an outbreak or suspected ISA.
