Myrseth steps in as Morpol chairman

Just two days after Ebbe Pelle Jacobsen resigned as chairman of Morpol ASA, the Poland-based farmed salmon company has elected a replacement.

Bjørn Myrseth, founder and former CEO of Marine Farms, will now serve as chairman, Morpol announced on Wednesday. Myrseth has been on the Morpol board since February; Morpol owns a majority interest in Marine Farms, which it acquired in September.

Myrseth was also a co-founder of Stolt Sea Farms in 1972, where he served as CEO until 1987.

Additionally, Morpol appointed Marianne E. Johnsen as vice chairman.
