Red Lobster supply chain VP joins GAA board

Nelson Griffin, VP-supply chain at Red Lobster Seafood Company in Orlando, Fla., USA, has joined the board of directors of the Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA).

Griffin is responsible for leading all supply chain-related activities for the world's largest casual-dining seafood restaurant company, which operates more than 700 restaurants throughout North America.

Griffin also oversees the department responsible for food safety, product quality and restaurant inspections. He assumed his current role last July when Red Lobster broke away from Darden Restaurants. Previously, Griffin served in key supply-chain leadership roles at Darden and also worked for Kellogg’s and Cracker Barrel Old Country Store.

“I am proud to have this opportunity to partner with GAA’s other board members to advance the organization’s mission to educate key stakeholders on responsible aquaculture practices and sustainability,” said Griffin.
