Salmon farm blames seal for breakout

A seal is being blamed for the escape of about 2,000 fish — worth GBP 30,000 — from a Highland fish farm.

The immature salmon slipped through a tear in a net at Loch Duart’s site at Torgawn, Sutherland.

Staff at the fish farm spotted the tear when the net was being raised.
