Sick yellowtail to hit Clean Seas results

Tummy trouble among its yellowtail kingfish population will impact Clean Seas Tuna’s full-year financial results.

The South Australian fish farmer also says its cost cutting exercises are paying dividends and should result in a smaller half-year loss than last year.

The audited first half results to be reported on February 22 will show a pretax loss that’s about 40 percent to 50 percent smaller than its AUD 13.3 million loss in first half 2010-11, the company said in a statement on Monday.
