The Taiwan government has expressed concern over a TV news program in South Korea that painted a negative picture of Taiwan’s tilapia aquaculture industry and is demanding a correction, a Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) official said Friday.
Taiwan’s overseas missions will also provide foreign governments with more accurate information about the industry, ministry spokeswoman Anna Kao said.
“Taiwan tilapia is a high-quality aquatic product, and the MOFA is greatly concerned about the news report,” Kao said.
