Inga Jóna Friðgeirsdóttir has been appointed as the new CFO of Brim hf and will become a member of the Icelandic seafood company’s executive board.
Jóna joined the company (formerly known as HB Grandi) in 2013 as director of dry-fish production. She later became director of business development. Her previous appointments include managing director of Laugafiskur from 2004 and managing director of Útgerðarfélag Reykjavíkur (then named Brim) from 2007.
Last month, HB Grandi’s shareholders approved the board of directors’ decisions to change the company name to Brim and also to buy UR’s seafood sales operations in Asia for USD 34.9 million (EUR 31.3 million).
