Humphreys out as CEO of Bristol Bay Seafood Investments

Bristol Bay Seafood Investments (BBSI) President and CEO Amy Humphreys appears to have left the role, according to an update on her Linkedin profile.

Humphreys was hired for the position by the Bristol Bay Native Corporation (BBNC) in January 2020, and was hired alongside BBSI Senior Vice President Everette Anderson. The former president and CEO of Icicle Seafoods, Humphrey serves as a board member of American Seafoods, and also serves on the board of directors of Blue Harvest Fisheries.

The BBNC said the goal of Humphrey’s work was to expand its ventures in the Alaskan seafood market, as well as the global arena. In 2019, the BBNC purchased Blue North Fisheries and Clipper Seafoods, and brought them both under the title of Bristol Bay Alaska Seafoods LLC. BBSI was created to function as the holding company for Bristol Bay Alaska Seafoods, and as the company’s investment arm.

The BBNC has not issued any public announcement regarding Humprey’s departure, and did not respond to a request for comment by the afternoon of Monday, 5 April.
