Thai Union Europe’s longtime president Paul Reenan will leave the seafood firm after seven years in the role.

A 14-year veteran of the company, Reenan first joined Thai Union in 2010, leading Liverpool, U.K.-based seafood brand John West, which Thai Union owns.

After the company aquired Norway's King Oscar brand and Germany's Rügen Fisch brand, Reenan became managing director of Thai Union Northern Europe. In 2017, as the company restructured, he was named regional president of Paris, France-based Thai Union Europe, which became a significant business arm for the Thai Union group under his leadership, according to the firm.

In a statement to SeafoodSource, Thai Union said that Reenan had been "a strong advocate for Thai Union's values and [had] contributed significantly to Thai Union's transition to become one integrated global marine nutrition company. He leaves behind a leading innovative branded organization with a strong talented team."

A successor to Reenan has not yet been announced.

Thai Union Europe is the European subsidiary of Thai Union Group, which until recently was a seafood supplier and minority owner of Red Lobster.
