Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A.-based seafood and protein processor Revere Meat Company has hired former Anova Food executive Scott Purinton to oversee sales and market growth at the company.
With more than 20 years of experience in the seafood and general foodservice industries, specializing in seafood sales, product development and procurement management, Purinton will apply his expertise toward building and selling Revere’s “quality driven, direct-to-source, multi-species, branded, import seafood program,” the company said. Purinton, who began working with the company as of 9 May, will also focus on expanding Revere’s growing national presence in foodservice, broadline and wholesale markets.
"We feel we have identified a growing trend in the marketplace of buyers wanting to consolidate their purchases as much as possible,” Revere Meat Co. Vice President Connor Boney said. “We believe that an expanded, direct-to-source portfolio of fresh, frozen and pasteurized protein products will help satisfy the quality, customer service and cost saving needs that so many customers have across the country. Adding Scott to the team, in an effort to address this growing need, was a decision we felt very comfortable making due to his reputation, track record and passion for the business. Revere distributes seafood and meat across the United States, predominantly in the Southeast region. The company’s main aim is “to create a new way of doing business by focusing on meaningful, long-term relationships with their customers and suppliers while improving the quality of the industry for everyone,” it said.
