Italian sturgeon farmer Caviale has renewed its Friend of the Sea certification for its caviar sold under the brands “Perluga Caviar” and “Caviar Caviale.”
According to a statement, the company may continue using the Friend of the Sea label on its Russian, Siberian, Adriatic and Beluga sturgeon. The company has been farming sturgeon on its farm in the Lombardy region with certifiably sustainable practices since 2006.
"We are particularly fond of the Friend of the Sea certification, as it independently confirms our full engagement to sustainability at international level,” said Caviale’s Carlo Rosa.
