New commercial manager at MSC Americas

The Marine Stewardship Council has named Sandra Cedrone senior commercial manager for the Americas.

Cedrone is a seafood industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience. Her primary responsibility will be to grow sustainability commitments and participants in the MSC program within the foodservice sector in the Americas region.

Cedrone previously served as managing director of Fortis Foods International, and she also held leadership positions at Slade Gorton, Fishery Products International and Sysco.

“The foodservice sector is playing an increasingly important role in advancing seafood sustainability and Sandie’s personal passion and deep experience will contribute to additional sustainability commitments from the foodservice sector in the region,” said Geoff Bolan, MSC Americas commercial director. “Sandie is a great addition to an already strong commercial team in the region and we look forward to her involvement.”

In my new role with the MSC, I am committed to engaging with old friends and making new ones to help drive seafood sustainability forward, because it matter to much to the future of our industry and our planet,” added Cedrone.
