New website offers guide to world's FIPs

NGO Sustainable Fisheries Partnership unveiled a new website this week designed to promote awareness of ongoing fisheries improvement projects (FIP) worldwide.

The site, called the FIP Directory, currently lists 79 different projects, with details on each, and guides and videos. The site also allows users to add their own FIPs to the list, along with accessing details on listed projects.

“The FIP Directory is not yet totally comprehensive but we hope that people will send us details of their projects and we can build a website that features virtually all of the FIPs worldwide,” said Blake Lee-Harwood, the partnership’s communications director. “The Directory is also a useful way of creating a web presence for new FIPs that might not have dedicated websites."
