Livingston’s Bulls Bay Seafood, based in McClellanville, South Carolina, is the 300th supplier added to FishChoice.com.
The supplier’s wild shrimp and other products have been added to the online B2B directory designed for businesses that buy and sell sustainable seafood.
“We are very excited to be a part of FishChoice,” said Jeff Massey, COO of Livingston’s Bulls Bay Seafood. “Livingston’s is a local, sustainable operation in South Carolina, and we are very happy that FishChoice will help us connect with buyers who share the same commitment to environmental stewardship we do.”
Richard Boot, founder and president of FishChoice, which is based in Fort Collins, Colo., is optimistic about his organization’s continued success. “Livingston’s is a great example of a company that sees the value of being listed alongside likeminded companies, making it easier for buyers to find several suppliers and their products in one place,” he said. “The timing of this milestone couldn’t be better, as we are in the early stages of completely rebuilding the website to accommodate the growth we are experiencing and expecting.”
FishChoice partners with several leading sustainable seafood organizations including Seafood Watch, the Marine Stewardship Council, SeaChoice and FishWise in compiling sustainable seafood ratings and certifications for a growing audience of over 3,000 professionals. With its 300th supplier, FishChoice is closing in on 2,000 sustainable seafood product listings across more than 190 species of finfish and shellfish.
FishChoice.com launched in August 2009 with the purpose of aggregating and maintaining up-to-date sustainable seafood ratings and certifications in a manner designed specifically for businesses. Buyers register for free to use the website, search for products by species name, species origin, or by supplier, and contact the companies directly to inquire about purchasing products of interest.
