Trans-Ocean Products of Bellingham, Wash., on Wednesday named Acosta Fresh Foods as its 2007 Broker of the Year.
Acosta, based in Hackensack, N.J., was recognized for growing Trans-Ocean's market share of its Crab Classic surimi seafood product line by 42 percent in 2007, taking a leading 40.7 percent market share in metro New York.
"It's with great pleasure and pride that we recognize Acosta Fresh Foods' outstanding effort and dedication in the sales and marketing of Trans-Ocean's products," David Borowski, Trans-Ocean's Northeast business development manager, said in a prepared statement. "[The Acosta] staff has a real passion for selling and pays close attention to detail in all facets of the business. We look forward to further strengthening our successful partnership in the future."
