Eric Bloom is planning to leave Eastern Fish at the end of 2026, the company announced in a press release.

Bloom has been with Eastern Fish for 40 years, and became the CEO of the company in February after Highwood Harbor acquired the company in February 2026. Bloom was previously the COO of the company, and at the time of the purchase, Highwood Harbor CEO Jordan Mazzetta said the company was planning to keep all Eastern Fish employees in their roles.

Now, Bloom plans to remain with the company through the end of the year in an advisory role and complete the transition of ownership, according to Highwood Harbor.

"For 40 years, Eric has poured himself into Eastern Fish," Mazzetta said. "He (and the Bloom Family) built a great company and a great team, and that team is ready to lead Eastern into its strongest years yet. We are grateful to him."

Mazzetta is currently serving as the interim CEO of the company, according to a company release.

Alongside Bloom’s departure, Eastern Fish announced it has promoted Frank DeLibero to senior vice president of sales and Marc Sorranno to director of sales. The company said the promotions will strengthen the leadership team of the company, and the two will manage and lead the company’s sales team.

“Our new ownership has given us room to invest, and we are putting it to work,” Mazzetta said. “We are widening our product range, deepening our sourcing relationships, improving processes, raising the bar on service, and investing in our people. Eastern Fish is stronger today than it was in February.”

Mazzetta said DeLibero and Sorranno know the business and what the market needs, and are the right fit for running sales at Eastern Fish.

“Our customers count on us for consistent quality and dependable supply,” DeLibero said. “My focus is giving our sales team the product, tools, and support to meet those needs and help our customers grow.”
