Norwegian fish oil producer Pharma Marine has received Friend of the Sea certification for its line of Oceans Omega-3 products.
The nonprofit assessment group said Pharma Marine sources from sustainable sardine and anchovy fisheries, and there is a reliable chain of custody throughout the supply chain. The company has already received similar Friend of the Sea certification for two other products.
“The importance of responsible fishery management, control of biomasses and transparency in omega-3 products origin is something we take seriously at Pharma Marine,” said Leif Kjetil Gjendemsjø, CEO of Pharma Marine. “We are glad to be adding Oceans fish oil ingredient line to our existing third-party certified product portfolio.”
