Top5-NewSeasons-4.jpg4.) The flavorful stuffing in the Stuffed Dover Sole at the New Seasons Market’s Slabtown store in Portland, Oregon, is what makes it one of the store’s most popular dishes, Seth Talbot, assistant meat manager for the store, told SeafoodSource.

Sliced dover sole is laid out in a cross-pattern, and stuffed with the chain’s in-house crab and artichoke stuffing. Customers take the final dish home to bake.

“There are nice, bright flavor notes from the crab and artichoke – as well as asparagus when it is in season,” Talbot said.

More customers are buying prepared seafood meals – along with fresh seafood in general – primarily because of its health benefits, Talbot added. 

Plus, “I think seafood really resonates with people in this area,” Talbot said.
