Avendra, a Rockville, Md.-based hospitality industry supply chain and procurement-services company, announced the appointment of Wolfram Schaefer as its COO.
Schaefer was most recently based in Switzerland and served as COO-Europe for NCH Corp., a company providing industrial maintenance products and services worldwide.
"Wolfram is an experienced executive whose deep industry knowledge will help Avendra as it continues to expand its business," said Dennis Baker, president and CEO of Avendra. "He brings extensive business development and supply chain knowledge to the organization, including broad experiences covering food and beverage supply chain, international procurement and supply chain technology implementation."
Prior to joining NCH Corp., Schaefer was with LSG Sky Chefs, a global leader in airline catering and in-flight services. While there, he held a variety of positions, ultimately serving as president of LSG Sky Chefs Supply Chain Solutions, a subsidiary that provides strategic sourcing and supply chain management services.
