Bristol Seafood unveils Soy Ginger Cedar Plank Salmon

Portland, Maine, U.S.A.-based Bristol Seafood has launched a new flavor of its cedar-plank salmon line.

Its Soy Ginger Cedar Plank Salmon is one of several products it offers that come with a presoaked plank and marinated fish, including its Maple Bourbon Atlantic Salmon and its Sesame Teriyaki Atlantic Salmon, both introduced in 2022.

“Crafted with culinary expertise and inspired by Asian flavors, this addition is set to tantalize taste buds and elevate grilling experiences across the nation,” it said. “Perfectly timed for the upcoming grilling season, [it] offers a delectable fusion of Atlantic salmon and a savory soy ginger marinade.”

The company said the addition of its new value-added plant in 2022 has helped it elevate and diversify its offerings, “ensuring the consumer can eat restaurant-quality seafood dinners at home.”

In early 2021, Bristol created a Grab and Go retail range, which showcases “quality seafood in a contemporary format aimed at delighting the evolving retail seafood consumer,” Bristol said. The line includes line-caught Alaska cod and farmed Atlantic salmon.

Its My Fish Dish range, launched in 2019 with 18 packaged seafood items, has recently been expanded to include Spicy Ginger Shrimp and Sesame Miso Butter Cod. Also, its Seafood Singles line of frozen products includes center-cut Atlantic salmon portions matched with compound butter and spices, packed in perforated, easy-to-peel packages. Flavors include lemon and pesto butter, as well as ginger and garlic butter. 

Bristol Seafood achieved B Corp certification, meeting standards for social and environmental impact, in January 2023.
