Bumble Bee Foods on Wednesday launched Prime Fillet Tonno in Olive Oil.
Each 5-ounce can contains two servings of Italian-style yellowfin tuna. This is the first product in Bumble Bee’s Prime Fillet line to be packed in olive oil, the preferred style in Europe.
Other products in the Prime Fillet line include Solid White Albacore in Water, Albacore Steak Entrées, Salmon Steaks, Atlantic Salmon and three chicken items — Chicken Breast Lightly Seasoned with Garlic & Herbs, Chicken Breast with Southwest Seasonings and Chicken Breast with Barbeque Sauce.
Prime Fillet Tonno in Olive Oil is now available at select stores nationwide for a suggested retail price of USD 1.99 (EUR 1.40) per can.
“In developing this delicious new product, we wanted to provide a convenient dinner solution that is of the highest quality, has superior taste and can be part of a nutritious meal,” said Christopher Lischewski, Bumble Bee’s CEO.
“Premium tuna packed in olive oil has been popular among the food elite for years, but now with Prime Fillet Tonno the gourmet-quality product is more widely available at a reasonable price,” he added.
