Gorton's Seafood and Ortega have teamed up to launched a co-branded fish taco website and consumer contest.
The site, www.welovefishtacos.com, offers five new seafood taco recipes including the Crunchy Fish Taco, featuring Gorton's Fish Sticks and Ortega's Yellow Corn Taco Shells, and the Avocado and Mango Lime-Grilled Shrimp Tacos, featuring Gorton's Classic Grilled Shrimp and Ortega's Whole Wheat Soft Tortillas.
The online Fish Taco Fiesta Challenge contest offers consumers the chance to win prizes by providing their favorite taco toppings, a tip on creating an at-home fish taco fiesta and a photo showing one or more Gorton's Seafood packages and one or more Ortega packages.
Thirty-one finalists will be selected, with each guaranteed to win a prize. The grand prize is an all-inclusive trip for four to Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Ten first prize winners will receive a year of free Gorton's and Ortega products and their photograph posted on the website and 20 second prizes will consist of six Gorton's free product coupons and six Ortega free product coupons.
In addition, three voter's choice prizes will be awarded, with consumer voting running through 15 October, with the winners receiving a Fiesta Dinnerware for four and 12 Gorton's free product coupons and 12 Ortega free product coupons.
Contest submissions will be accepted through 7 October.
