Brand Neue Corp. of Bentonville, Ark., on Wednesday announced that Pacific Salmon Industries (PSI) has granted it U.S. distribution-management rights to its Grande Gourmet brand of frozen seafood products.

PSI of Vancouver, Canada, recently introduced its Grande Gourmet wild salmon burgers and pre-marinated salmon fillets to Canadian club-store chains, and both products have exceeded sales targets.

Given that U.S. consumers are trending toward natural and healthful ready-to-eat food items, Brand Neue sees a lot of opportunity for both products in the U.S. market.

“Not every product that comes into the Brand Neue fold requires development,” said Brand Neue CEO Adi Muljo. “Some, like Grande Gourmet, are already highly prospective and more or less market ready, but need a turnkey retail and merchandising solution like ours to present their great product to domestic and international buyers and cost-effectively streamline large-scale distribution logistics.”
