Boston-based seafood company Slade Gorton took home Sysco’s 2015 Heritage Award for Diversity “for meeting and exceeding Sysco's expectations set forth for minority, women-owned and diverse supplier partners.” The company, which was founded in 1928, is a large U.S. manufacturer, importer and distributer of value-added seafood. Its president and CEO is Kimberly Gorton, who carries on the family’s legacy and commitment to quality seafood in her role. Brands established by Slade Gorton include ICYBAY, Gourmet Bay and Sonoma Seafoods.
