High Liner introduces Battercrisp Shrimp

High Liner Foods has introduced Battercrips Sauce & Serve Shrimp, a new line of shrimp under the company’s FPI brand.

The new tail-off shrimp is formulated to stay crispy and crunchy, even when sauced. The company recommends sweet mojito and lime glze, spicy aioli, sweet Thai chili and spicy Asian cream coconut sauces.

“Foodservice operators are looking for creative and profitable ways to put shrimp on the menu that go beyond the standard fried shrimp menu placements. They are also looking for options to replace or enhance the popular sauced chicken wing concept,” said Carolyn Piscatelli, FPI brand manager.

The new product is being marketed to high-volume foodservice operators such as independent and chain restaurants, buffet and cafeteria feeding facilities.
