Montreal, Quebec, Canada-based Lagoon Seafood has announced a retail expansion into Ontario, Canada. Lagoon Seafood is a fresh and frozen seafood distributor, importer, exporter, and processor that recently committed to a shift to value-added products.
“We've built a reputation of offering premium-quality and innovative products that customers trust,” Lagoon Seafood Business Resource Manager Michael Cheaib said. “We’re confident that we’ll do the same in Ontario as we expand our presence in the market.”
Lagoon Seafood said its sales team worked in 2022 to grow its retail business. The company's frozen and fresh products, including the Blue Tide label, will now be available in supermarkets in Ontario including Loblaws, Metro, Adonis, Costco, and Guelph’s Market Fresh.
“Our mission is to increase brand awareness, build strong distribution links with our retail partners, and encourage consumer trials supported by our marketing and communications initiatives,” Cheaib said. “We are participating in various consumer shows and food tasting events throughout the year and exploring new partnerships in the foodservice industry within Ontario.”
Lagoon Seafood is a family-owned and operated company with more than 30 years of seafood industry experience. It sources products from South America, Asia, West Africa, and the Mediterranean regions, in addition to products sourced locally in Quebec and other locations in North America. Its products are grouped under the Blue Tide and Royal Harbour brands.
