New ad agency for Red Lobster

Red Lobster on Friday announced that it selected Grey Group and its flagship New York office as its new advertising agency.

For Grey, the casual seafood chain's account is worth more than USD 115 million.

"We are deeply proud of our partnership with Darden and the tremendous vote of confidence Red Lobster has given Grey by entrusting us with this premier brand. Together, we'll take it to new heights," said Jim Heekin, Grey Group's chairman and CEO.

"Grey demonstrated superb creativity, strategic thinking, integrated capabilities and a deep understanding of the casual-dining marketplace," added Salli Setta, Red Lobster's executive VP of marketing. "We look forward to working with this great team to leverage the growth and success of Red Lobster in the years ahead."

Grey is the advertising arm of Grey Group, which ranks among the largest global communications companies.

Red Lobster is the United States' largest casual seafood chain, operating nearly 700 restaurants nationwide. It is owned by Orlando, Fla.-based Darden Restaurants, which also runs Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, The Capital Grille, Bahama Breeze and Seasons 52.
