Oceanaire Receives Sustainability Award

The Oceanaire Seafood Room in Indianapolis yesterday announced it earned its third Santé Restaurant Culinary Hospitality Award in the sustainable category by Santé Magazine.

The award is given to an operation guided by ecologically and socially responsible food choices.

"We focus strictly on products that are caught in certified waters by certified boats. Once obtained, these products are handled with consummate care." says Ryan Nelson, executive chef of the Indianapolis location. "By holding this standard of support to the fishing industry, we are able to raise awareness for the protection of fisheries as well as protect the future of the seafood industry."

The restaurant will be honored at a ceremony Nov. 4, at Silverado Resort in Napa, Calif.
