Leading Chinese shrimp exporter Guolian Aquatic reported revenues of CNY 4.96 billion (USD 783 million, EUR 648 million) in 2017 for its listed arm, up 56.25 percent year on year. Profits at CNY 144 million (USD 22 million, EUR 18.8 million) were up 53.4 percent.
The company reported an 18-percent rise in domestic market sales with a 27-percent jump in its sales to the food and beverage sector. Guolian services the growing fast food sector from central kitchens built to supply pre-cooked products.
The company also scored an impressive 326-percent growth in online sales.
