Red Lobster adds new seafood “Feast” meals to its menu
Red Lobster added new combination dishes that highlight lobster, shrimp, and other seafood under its “Feast” line.
Its new Mariner’s Feast features Atlantic salmon topped with creamy langostino and Norway lobster, a grilled scallop skewer, and Walt’s Favorite Shrimp.
The Orlando, Florida, U.S.A.-based restaurant chain is also bringing back two popular Feast combination meals: Seafarer’s Feast and Harborside Lobster and Shrimp.
The Seafarer’s Feast includes a broiled Maine lobster tail, grilled sea scallops, Red Lobster's signature hand-crafted garlic shrimp, and Walt's Favorite Shrimp; while the Harborside Lobster and Shrimp Feast features a roasted rock lobster tail, garlic shrimp scampi, and garlic-grilled shrimp.
"These feasts are super craveable and loaded with a variety of great seafood, perfect for any celebration – big or small, in-restaurant or to-go,” Red Lobster Senior Vice President of Culinary Operations and International Jarrett Whitlow said in a press release. “They’re a great complement to other recent additions to our menu to meet the needs of today's guests, including sandwiches, bowls, pastas, and delicious appetizers.”
In addition to the new Feast dishes, Red Lobster carries the Ultimate Surf and Turf – a six-ounce filet mignon, a butter-poached Maine lobster tail, and bacon-wrapped sea scallops; and the Ultimate Feast – Maine lobster tail, wild-caught North American snow crab legs, Red Lobster's signature hand-crafted garlic shrimp scampi, and Walt's Favorite Shrimp.
It also features a Seaside Shrimp Trio, with a “generous” sampling of Walt's Favorite Shrimp, hand-crafted garlic shrimp scampi, and shrimp linguini alfredo.
Red Lobster is also promoting its Family Meal Deals for the busy school season. These include: Create Your Own Family Feast, Seaside Shrimp Trio Family Feast, and its Ultimate Family Feast. The meals serve four people and come with eight Cheddar Bay Biscuits.
Red Lobster has benefitted from Americans’ return to eating out this summer. In its second-quarter earnings report, Red Lobster owner Thai Union said its profit hike was partially supported by the strong performance of the restaurant chain, which Thai Union purchased in 2016 and invested further in last year.
Red Lobster’s losses narrowed to THB 49 million (USD 1.5 million, EUR 1.2 million) during the second quarter – much lower than THB 702 million (USD 21 million, EUR 17.8 million) it lost in Q2 2020, at the height of the pandemic.
