Saucy Fish expands into more European supermarkets

Three European grocery chains have added The Saucy Fish Co.’s line of frozen fish and sauce products.

France-based Franprix is stocking three of the Grimsby, United Kingdom-based supplier’s frozen products across 180 stores. In addition, Dansk Supermarket Group in Denmark is listing the range in 410 of its Netto stores, 67 Fotex stores, and 17 Bilka stores. Both countries are new territories for The Saucy Fish Co.’s CoolBrand.

Ocado is the fourth retailer in the U.K. to stock The Saucy Fish Co.’s frozen range, and the first in the U.K. to carry Saucy’s new Frozen Herb Crusted Salmon with Lemon Butter Sauce. They are also selling the supplier’s Sea Bass with Salsa Verde, Basa with Asian BBQ Sauce, and Thai Spiced Fishcakes.

“This is such an exciting time for The Saucy Fish Co. Our frozen products have been so well-received in the U.K., U.S., and Canada, so we look forward to working alongside Franprix and Dansk Group to introduce the range to even more consumers in Europe,” said Paul Macis, international business manager at The Saucy Fish Co.

The Saucy Fish Co. is operated by Seachill, which was purchased by Hilton Food Group in October.
