The Saucy Fish Co. is bringing its fish and sauce combination products to supermarkets in Australia, the company said.
The Grimsby, U.K.-based company is making the move after introducing Saucy Fish products in the U.S. starting in March. The products will appear in Australia in Coles and Woolworths supermarkets, with prices starting at AUD 11 (USD 10.34, EUR 7.65).
“Launching our products in Australia is a natural next step for the brand, after expanding to the U.S. earlier this year,” said Simon Smith, sales and marketing director at The Saucy Fish Co. “As a nation, Australian’s love seafood, and demand has increased dramatically over recent years.”
The company, a subsidiary of Icelandic Seachill, is introducing the products as The Speedy Fish Co., due to a trademark dispute that the company hopes to resolve so it may use its proper name in Australia.
