Shell Shack expanding out of its Dallas base in growth plan for 2018

The Dallas, Texas-based chain, which specializes in crab, shrimp and other seafood, opened its first restaurant in May 2013. It currently operates four restaurants in the Dallas- Fort Worth area. 

The company announced in December that it plans to add restaurants in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Denver, Colorado; Phoenix, Arizona; and Atlanta, Georgia in 2018.

“We strategically selected these cities so that Shell Shack corporate can provide the best support possible to our franchisees as we continue to grow throughout the U.S.,” CEO Dallas Hale said. “In 2018, we expect to open no less than eight new Shell Shack locations, which is more than doubling our current footprint.”

Shell Shack will also add two additional restaurants in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in 2018.

"We are pleased with the continued response from our franchise program and have been ramping up our operational training teams for 2018,” Hale said.
