StarKist rolls out Hispanic-inspired tuna line

StarKist on Tuesday announced that it has launched a Hispanic-inspired line of canned tuna.

The company’s Autentico canned-tuna brand will be available at Walmart locations across the United States. The line features StarKist tuna with spice such as red, chili and jalapeno peppers along with vegetables.

Autentico Chunk Light Tuna in Oil with Vegetables combines tuna with red bell peppers, sweet corn, carrots and green peas. Autentico Sweet & Spicy Chunk Light Tuna in Oil with Peppers combines tuna with red bell and chili peppers and with tomatoes. Autentico Chunk Light Tuna with Jalapenos combines tuna with jalapeno and red bell peppers.

The new products retail for about USD 1.69 per can.

Based in Pittsburgh, StarKist is a subsidiary of South Korea’s Dongwon Group.
