Vickery, ‘This Morning’ visit Southeast Alaska

British celebrity chef Phil Vickery recently filmed a segment in Petersburg, Alaska, for the ITV1 program “This Morning” in which he promoted sustainable seafood.

Last Tuesday, Vickery served up king crab salad, marinated king crab legs, breaded halibut cheeks and halibut ceviche to a crowd of about 40 Petersburg residents at an event hosted by the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute.

During his visit, Vickery also visited an Ocean Beauty processing plant, went aboard a troller, cooked cedar planked salmon for a cooking demo and interviewed Alaska Rep. Bill Thomas about gillnetting and sustainable fishing, among other things, according to ASMI.

Vickery told the Petersburg Pilot that the segment is due to air in October and that about 4 million viewers will see the episode.
