Young’s launches ‘green’ packaging line

As part of its drive for sustainability, Young’s Seafood on Monday launched eco-friendly packaging for its Admiral’s Pies line of fish pies. The new packs use 12 percent less packaging.

The company said at least seven other products will switch to the new packaging.

“We have to do significant in-store testing to ensure that the visibly smaller pack was properly communicated and did not negatively affect consumer perception of the product,” said Matt Whelan, marketing manager.
