New data from the Norwegian Seafood Council, aggregated by the SeafoodSource Pricing Portal, puts the price for all categories of Norwegian salmon at the end of Week 31 (2 August) at NOK 77.52 per kilogram (USD 8.14, EUR 7.05) up from NOK 74.54 per kilogram (USD 7.82, EUR 6.78) one week earlier, on 26 July. This price includes processing and shipping costs and losses, and is thus higher than the FCA Oslo prices published by Sitagri and reported by SeafoodSource on 5 August.
Poland and China were the two biggest export markets for all categories of Norwegian salmon in Week 31 of 2026, data aggregated by the SeafoodSource Pricing Portal and produced by the Norwegian Seafood Council has shown. The Netherlands, France, and Spain rounded out the rest of the top five export destinations by mass.
The top markets by price in Week 31 were China and Spain, who paid an average of NOK 84.77 per kilogram (USD 8.90, EUR 7.71) and NOK 79.46 per kilogram (USD 8.34, EUR 7.23), respectively, in Week 31 for all categories of Norwegian salmon. France, the Netherlands, and Poland came in next.
The top markets by export mass for fresh whole Atlantic salmon from Norway in Week 31 were Poland and China, followed by the Netherlands, France, and Spain.
Top markets for whole fish by price were China, Spain, the Netherlands, France, and Poland, in that order. China paid NOK 84.29 per kilogram (USD 8.85, EUR 7.67) , while Spain paid NOK 75.17 per kilogram (USD 7.89, EUR 6.84) .
The top markets by mass for fresh Atlantic salmon fillets from Norway in Week 31 were the U.S. and Poland, followed by Japan, France, and Spain.
