Dundee, Scotland-headquartered Ace Aquatec has appointed a partner to distribute the company’s equipment in the Americas, and a new sales manager to expand its efforts in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Ace Aquatec creates award-winning stunners for tilapia, trout, salmon, and sea bass, and has now partnered with Pisces Fish Machinery Inc. to increase the company’s distribution of its products in North, Central, and South America. According to the company, Pisces is “well-placed” to support the distribution of its in-water electrical stunner.
“Pisces have been leading the way in fish processing since 1983 and are highly regarded as the best-in-class for manufacturing a range of award-winning fish processing machines,” Ace Aquatec Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Tara McGregor-Woodhams said. “We’re thrilled to be working closely with their team of experienced aquaculture professionals. This partnership will help us to roll out and lead on the distribution of our stunning technology across the Americas and gain key insight into one of our key target market.”
The company also announced that it has hired Costa Skotidas to serve as the company’s new sales and partnerships manager for its operations in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. According to Ace Aquatec, the move followed growth in Greece and Denmark.
Skotidas joins Ace Aquatec after serving 15 years as the advertising account manager for IntraFish for the same region.
“Ace Aquatec has a longstanding reputation for providing some of the most innovative solutions to the aquaculture market. This newly established role will give me the opportunity to work in regions I know well and work with the team through a phase of accelerated growth,” Skotidas said.
The new hire and new partnership add to the company’s efforts to expand its distribution. Earlier this year, the company appointed Australian equipment supplier Fresh by Design to distribute its products in the Asia Pacific region in order to supply stunners to customers in Australia and New Zealand.
Earlier this year, Ace Aquatec signed deals with Regal Springs and with Norwegian smolt farmers Sævareid Fiskeanlegg for its Humane Stunner Universal System.
