Dundee, United Kingdom-based Ace Aquatec, winner of the 2019 Global Aquaculture Innovation Award for its “Universal Humane Stunner” technology, has announced the hire of Unn Eilen Vik.
The company opened an office in Norway last year, and Vik will serve as Norway sales manager for Ace Aquatec. Vik previously served as the global sales and marketing director at IntraFish, and prior to that was the sales and marketing manager at Atlantic Seafish.
Vik officially starts in the position in October, and in the meantime will oversee the company’s booth at Aqua Nor in Trondheim, Norway.
“I first heard of Ace Aquatec when they won the innovation award at the event [Aqua Nor] and have been following their journey ever since,” Vik said. “I’m looking forward to seeing familiar and new faces at Aqua Nor and can’t wait to showcase Ace Aquatec’s offering.”
Ace Aquatec will be showcasing its new developments in fish-stunners and biomass cameras at the event.
“It’s an exciting time for Unn to become part of the Norway team as we go to the market with our latest research and developments,” Ace Aquatec Regional Manager for Norway Preben Imset Matre said. “Unn’s enthusiasm for the aquaculture sector is apparent when you speak to her, so we’re glad the event will be hosted physically for people to meet her.”
