BioMar announced it is establishing a fourth division targeting activities in the Asian region, following its new partnership with Viet-Uc in Vietnam.
The company selected Francois Loubere to be its new vice president of its Asia operations and Luis Garcia Romero as is its managing director for the Western Mediterranean and Africa. The new division and VP role will, according to BioMar, set the strategic direction for the region as the company looks to integrate and develop the new business units.
“The new division for Asia is a milestone on our growth journey. We will, going forward, have a dedicated focus on the region in our executive management. We expect this change to accelerate our development of the business units and enable a broader commercial focus in the region,” BioMar CEO Carlos Diaz said.
Loubere has 30 years of experience in the aquaculture sector, and previously played key roles in building up BioMar's operations in the Western Mediterranean and Africa. Previously, he served as the managing director for BioMar’s factories in Spain and France. With his new role, he will join the executive committee of the BioMar Group.
Romero previously served as the commercial manager in the Western Mediterranean and Africa, and is taking over as the managing director for the unit, after just two years in the BioMar Group.
