David Lancaster promoted to CEO of Stavis Seafoods

Profand Group, a Spanish company that purchased Stavis Seafoods in 2018 through subsidiary IMV, has announced the promotion of David Lancaster from president to CEO of the company, effective 1 January, 2022.

Lancaster has served as the Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A.-based company’s president since January 2021, when he was promoted from his previous role of vice president of sales. According to the Profand Group, with the new promotion he will “continue to drive growth” for the company through increased efficiencies, expanded physical locations, and an e-commerce solution that is in development.

“During his time as president, David has proven to be a capable leader navigating uncertain times and capitalizing on new opportunities,” Profand Group CEO Enrique Garcia said. “David has fostered an environment of positivity and collaboration and has led Stavis to exceed goals directly leading to increased margins and growth with new opportunities.”

Lancaster previously worked as the company’s sales manager in the early 2000s, and rejoined the company in March 2020 as its vice president of sales. Lancaster has more than 30 years of experience in sales and management within the seafood industry.

Prior to joining Stavis for the second time, he owned and operated Interbay Seafoods, a seafood business based in Falmouth, Massachusetts, U.S.A. In addition, he worked as a general manager for Wellfleet Shellfish, and early in his career served as sales manager for Renton, Washington, U.S.A.-based Orca Bay Seafoods.

“We have seen what kind of leader David is, and the positive impact that his leadership has brought to Stavis Seafoods,” Garcia said.
