The Chinese government has banned imports from 15 Vietnamese seafood companies.
In a notice posted on 6 September to the General Administration of Customs for China, 15 different seafood companies were banned from exporting any goods to the country. The notice provides no reason for the bans.
Companies banned from exporting to China were:
- Thuan An Production Trading and Service Co.
- An Giang Fisheries Import
- Global Blue Ocean Import
- Sao Bien Seafood
- K&K Aquafish Imex
- Thanh Phuong Minh Nhat Co.
- Binh Minh Fish Corporation
- Bac Lieu Fisheries
- An Khang Co.
- Phuong Nam Foodstuff Corporation
- Hai Phu Copmany Limited
- Phi Long Service Trading
- Quoc Hai Factory
- Thanh Tri Seafood Processing Company

The bans were announced via a list of approved companies to export to China, with the 15 cancellations indicated at the bottom. A notice attached to each company reads simply, “It is forbidden to import the products produced by the company after September 6, 2019.”
