Cao Lanh, Dong Thap, Vietnam-based pangasius exporter Vinh Hoan saw its sales revenue increase once again in August 2022.
Vinh Hoan’s sales totaled VND 1.27 trillion (USD 53.6 million, EUR 53.7 million) in the month, a 73 percent year-over-year increase and up 6 percent from the previous month.
The U.S. was Vinh Hoan’s largest market in August, purchasing VND 508 billion (USD 21.4 million, EUR 21.5 million) worth of its products, up 72 percent year-on-year and 17 percent month-on-month.
The value of the company’s exports to China rose 19 percent year-on-year to VND 169 billion (USD 7.13 million, EUR 7.14 million) in August, though that figure was 13 percent lower than July’s sales to China.
Vinh Hoan’s sales to Europe in August were up 5 percent year-on-year to VND 119 billion (USD 5.02 million, EUR 5.03 million), but that total was down 40 percent compared with July 2022.
The company’s sales in Vietnam, including of its noodle, rice paper, and shrimp chips produced by its Sa Giang subsidiary, were VND 310 billion (USD 13.09 million, EUR 13.12 million), up 179 percent year-on-year and up 76 percent month-on-month.
Vinh Hoan’s sales value in the remaining markets in August grew 119 percent year-on-year to VND 163 billion (USD 6.88 million, EUR 6.9 million) but contracted 15 percent from July.
Vinh Hoan earned VND 780 billion (USD 32.9 million, EUR 33 million) from its pangasius exports in August, up 63 percent year-on-year but edging down 2 percent month-on-month. Its byproducts sales in the month were worth VND 263 billion (USD 11.09 million, EUR 11.12 million), up 59 percent year-on-year and up 23 percent from July. its miscellaneous product exports skyrocketed 617 percent year-on-year and 58 percent month-on-month by value to VND 120 billion (USD 5.06 million, EUR 5.07 million).
