Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America opened 15 March in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A.
The latest edition of the event, produced by Diversified, opened for its 44th edition, running from 15 to 17 March. According to the organizer the three-day event covers 247,915 net square feet, hosting 1,215 exhibiting companies representing 50 countries at the Thomas M. Menino Convention and Exhibition Center. “This year's event reflects the truly global nature of our industry, with exciting new representation from Costa Rica, Hong Kong, the Maldives, New Zealand, Sweden, and Switzerland joining our exhibitor floor for the first time,” Diversified Vice President, Seafood Brenna Hensley said in a release. “We're seeing growth from countries including Vietnam, Ecuador, Taiwan, and Portugal, a testament to the significance of this event in connecting international suppliers with the North American market.”
Diversified said a range of different seafood products will be on display during the event, including fresh, frozen, canned, value-added, processed, and packaged products. On the Seafood Processing North America side, companies are presenting the latest advances in processing and packaging technology, including refrigeration, logistics and supply chain services, Diversified said. The keynote address, taking place at 11 a.m. on 16 March, features Nomi Prins, PhD, macro-economist, geopolitical financial expert, and best-selling author. The address, “Fork in the Current: The Economic and Trade Realities Shaping Seafood in 2026,” will discuss how macro forces in the global market could impact the cost structures, sourcing strategies, and regional demand for seafood.
The Wave Makers’ Zone will also return, Diversified said. The space hosts the New and Featured Products showcases, the Seafood Excellence Awards announcement reception at 3:30 p.m. on 16 March, and the Connecting Women in Seafood networking reception at 4:15 p.m. on 16 March.
