Norway’s AKVA Group, a technology and service provider for the aquaculture industry, has announced the departure of chief financial officer Eirik Børve Monsen.
Monsen, who has been at AKVA for five years, will continue with the company through the end of 2016, when he will take over the CFO role at Lyse AS, a Norwegian industrial group focusing in the energy and broadband sectors.
“AKVA group regrets Monsen's decision to leave, but is grateful for his services to the company,” the company said in a press release. “A process to recruit a new CFO for AKVA group [has been] initiated.”
The move comes on the heels of AKVA Group’s announcement on Wednesday, 29 June naming former Aker BioMarine executive Hallvard Muri as the company’s new CEO. Muri will assume his new position with AKVA on 1 January 2017, the day after Monsen departs the company.
AKVA Group employs some 669 people worldwide, with offices in eight countries.
